The most recent original entry was Wipeout 2048 for PlayStation Vita. The Wipeout series began in 1995 with Psygnosis’ Wipeout for PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn, which spawned nine sequels, spinoffs, and remasters. Lindsay previously worked on Wipeout Pure and Wipeout 2048. The game will reportedly run at 60 frames per second on modern mobile devices, will include 60 ships from past Wipeout games, and will feature an original score by Alastair Lindsay, formerly of Psygnosis and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
